If u look back in to our history, the singhs lived in jungles, they had no machines to carve our khanda which we have today
Imagine u making a khanda which we have today, with the kirpana by hand or simple tools ? it will take a fourtune
So wat singhs did was they they would take a straight peice and bent it, the 2 curves would repesent the miri piri and with the same traditional khanda in the middle, and the wouldnt include the chakkar becasue theu would, put a tora around it, so with a tora dumala is tight and war ready
Comparing a chand to a hindu form is not gurmat, gurmats princiaps are much different, the shiv shakti is tranlated in different terms in sikhi, but this is one of the reasons

Khanda is formed in the modern era of 19 century, Nishan shaibs before 19 centery never had the Khanda, but it had a Dhaal, Kattar and a Kirpan. Chand Tora is been with the Khalsa from Guru Shaibs Time.
In Gurmat, many things have been used terms like Chandi,Shiv shakti, so on, but it has a different meaning, just as the chand tora has no realtion with Hindu matt.
